Prosecutors say that Shayanna Jenkins, the fiancée of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, lied to the grand jury who indicted Hernandez on a murder charge more than a dozen times, reports the Associated Press.

According to the report, prosecutors claim Jenkins threw away a box from the basement of Hernandez's home and told the grand jury she didn't remember where she threw out the box, but prosecutors say they have evidence contradicting Jenkins' testimony "concerning how, why and the manner in which she removed the items from the home.''

Jenkins has pleaded not guilty to perjury and is free on personal recognizance.

Prosecutors have alleged that Hernandez killed Lloyd, who was dating Jenkins' sister, on June 17, 2013, and left his body less than a mile from Hernandez’s home.

Hernandez is also separately charged with killing two men in South Boston in July 2012. Prosecutors in that case said Hernandez followed the two victims after one of them spilled his drink on Hernandez after bumping into him at a club.

Hernandez, 24, pleaded not guilty to all charges. The Lloyd trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 6
