Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan said there is no reason to "cut ties" with wide receiver Justin Blackmon, John Oehser of Jaguars.com reports.

Blackmon, who was arrested on a charge of marijuana possession on Wednesday night, only played in four games for the Jaguars last season. The wide receiver was suspended for the first four games of the 2013 NFL season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy, and was suspended indefinitely in November after his second violation of the policy.

In Blackmon's limited playing time with Jacksonville last season, he caught 29 passes for 415 yards and one touchdown.

Blackmon was the team's first-round pick in the 2012 NFL draft, and the fifth player taken overall, after an All-American year at Oklahoma State.
