Texans' DeAndre Hopkins a big fan of Falcons receivers

Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution he looks up to Atlanta Falcons receivers Roddy White and Julio Jones. “Roddy is from South Carolina, so he’s one of the guys that I’ve been watching since he was in college,” Hopkins told D. Orlando Ledbetter​ after the team's held a joint practice. “Julio is one of the best to play at this position, so of course I watched him.”

And though Hopkins did have the opportunity to tell the players he admires their talents, he decided not to approach either.

“I had the chance to, but I didn’t want to go over there and be like a fan," Hopkins said.

In his rookie season last year, Hopkins caught 52 passes for 802 yards and two touchdowns.
