The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed former first-round pick Larry English, the team announced Thursday.

English was the No. 16 overall pick by the Chargers in 2009, and was released by the team in July. In five seasons with the Chargers, English played in 52 games (nine starts), and had 80 tackles, 11 sacks, and two fumble recoveries.
