Mike Pettine says Johnny Manziel can still win Browns quarterback job
Cleveland Browns head coach Mike Pettine said Friday Johnny Manziel can still win the starting quarterback job, and expects the rookie to face the Washington Redskins' starters at some point in the teams' preseason game Monday, according to Tom Withers of the Associated Press.

Pettine is hoping to choose a Week 1 starter as early as Tuesday, the day after the game.
Manziel took reps with the Browns' starting offense on Friday.
The Heisman Trophy winner was reportedly late to a team meeting Monday, but the rookie's mistake isn't said to have factored into Pettine's decision to start Hoyer against Washington.
