Bears GM: Brandon Marshall has 'full support' of team
Chicago Bears general manager Phil Emery says the team will fully support wide receiver Brandon Marshall after attorney Gloria Allred ripped the NFL for how it handled domestic violence complaints filed against Marshall from several years ago.
Marshall, who was then with the Denver Broncos, was twice accused of domestic violence against an ex-girlfriend in 2006 and 2007, but was not convicted in either case.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell suspended Marshall for three games in 2008. The ban was later reduced to one game.

Emery said that Marshall has been a "very positive, thoughtful and proactive leader and role model" since he arrived in Chicago in 2012.
"We were aware of his personal background when we traded for him in 2012 and equally aware of the tremendous efforts he made to bring positive changes in his life and in the lives of all the people around him," Emery said in a statement, via the Chicago Sun-Times. "Since his arrival, Brandon has thrived in an environment that has been supportive.”
Marshall has 13 catches for 119 yards and four touchdowns this season for Chicago (1-1).
