Davis reportedly injured his ankle during the Sept. 14 loss to the Chicago Bears. Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Beereported seeing Davis limping through the team's locker room on Thursday. According to San Francisco's injury report, the tight end did not participate in practice on Wednesday or Thursday due to issues with his ankle and knee.

So far this season, Davis, entering his ninth year in the league, has seven receptions for 83 yards and two touchdowns. Last season, his 13 touchdowns led the team, and his 52 receptions for 850 yards were second only to Anquan Boldin.
