During his Monday press conference, Dolphins coach Joe Philbin wouldn't commit to starting Tannehill this Sunday against the Oakland Raiders. Philbin said the coaches will pick the "46 best players" to help win the game.
It was reported yesterday the Dolphins were holding a meeting to decide between Tannehill and Matt Moore.
Tannehill, 26, has completed just 56.5 percent of his passes this season for 624 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. He went just 21-of-43 for 205 yards in Miami's 34-15 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. He's started every game for the Dolphins since he entered the NFL in 2012.
Moore, 30, last started an NFL game in 2011, when he threw for 2,497 yards, 16 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 12 starts and 13 games for the Dolphins.
The Dolphins play the Raiders in Oakland on Sunday.
