Minnesota Vikings coach Mike Zimmer is undergoing a minor procedure on Friday, a team official said.

Zimmer is expected rejoin the team on Saturday and coach in Sunday's road game against the Buffalo Bills. The nature of the procedure was not disclosed.

Zimmer, 58, is in his first season as the Vikings head coach after serving as the Cincinnati Bengals defensive coordinator over the last five seasons.

The Vikings (2-4) currently sit in last place in the NFC North.
