A Frisco, Texas, city jail video shows Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle cracking jokes while being booked after his arrest for shoplifting on Oct. 13.

The jailhouse video was obtained by CBS Dallas television affiliate KTVT.

Randle was charged with a misdemeanor after stealing underwear and a tester bottle of cologne, valued at $123.50 from a Dillard's in Stonebriar Centre Mall in Frisco, 25 miles north of Dallas. Randle is making $495,000 in base salary this season.

The team fined Randle $29,000 or the equivalent to one game check, but he has been allowed in the games since his arrest. In the video, Randle seemed to be concerned with his appearance in the mug shot.

“Take a good picture," Randle said. "I'm not about to look like I'm a criminal in this mug shot. How's my mug shot look?”

Randle then asked why a person’s height and weight aren’t listed on booking mug shots.

"This is not a damn trading card," a jail employee said.

Randle used his personal phone to make a call without permission and was quickly reprimanded by jail personnel.

“Do you want to get you another charge on you? Are you crazy?" a female jail employee said.

Randle is in his second season with the Cowboys after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma State. He has 143 yards on 21 carries this season for Dallas (6-2).

Randle, 22, apologized after the arrest and said it was the biggest mistake of his life. He said he would learn from the mistake and move forward.
