The Oakland Raiders are set to interview San Francisco 49ers tight ends coach Eric Mangini for their defensive coordinator position, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Mangini was the head coach of the New York Jets from 2006 to 2008 and of the Cleveland Browns from 2009 to 2010. He's spent the last two seasons on the 49ers staff.

Last week, the Raiders hired Jack Del Rio as their new head coach, replacing Dennis Allen, who was fired in September. Oakland is also in the process of looking for a new offensive coordinator.

Mangini was defensive coordinator for the New England Patriots in 2005 before he was hired to coach the Jets, his only experience as a coordinator.

The 44-year-old coached the Jets for three seasons, posting a record of 23-25 in the regular season and 0-1 in the playoffs. In two seasons with the Browns, his teams were a combined 10-22.
