Former Baltimore Ravens defensive end Chris Canty will visit with the New York Jets on Friday and Saturday, reports Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun

Canty was released by the Ravens on Feb. 27 after two seasons with the team. He started 24 games and recorded 63 tackles and 2.5 sacks during his time in Baltimore.

The 32-year-old spent the first four years of his career with the Dallas Cowboys before signing a six-year deal with the New York Giants in 2009. He ended up being released in 2013, when the Ravens picked him up.

When Canty was in Dallas, new Jets head coach Todd Bowles was the Cowboys secondary coach.

During the 2014 season, Canty missed four games after he had to undergo surgery for a staph infection in his wrist and thumb.
