Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is charged with one count of murder, and also facing five weapons charges in the death of Odin Lloyd, a 27-year-old semi-pro football player who was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancée, Shayanna Jenkins.

On Friday, Jenkins took the stand at Hernandez's trial and said that Hernandez was drunk during the hours before Lloyd's killing.

Jenkins testified that she is "estranged" from Odin Lloyd's girlfriend, who is her sister. She also testified that Hernandez instructed her to meet up with co-defendant Ernest Wallace to give him money just hours after Lloyd was killed.

Toward the end of the day's proceedings, Jenkins' lawyer got into a verbal altercation with the judge, who threatened to hold Jenkins in contempt if she didn't appear in court on Monday.

Prosecutors have alleged that Hernandez and two other individuals drove Lloyd to an industrial park less than a mile from Hernandez’s residence, where he was shot multiple times.

Hernandez faces life in prison if convicted of all charges.

Hernandez is also charged separately with two counts of murder, three counts of assault with intent to commit murder and a weapons charge in the 2012 deaths of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.

Authorities says that Hernandez shot de Abreu, Furtado and one other man after one of them spilled a drink on him at a nightclub.
