Report: Dolphins interested in drafting Todd Gurley
The Miami Dolphins are highly interested in selecting former Georgia running back Todd Gurley with their first-round choice in this week’s NFL draft, reports the Miami Herald’s Adam Beasley.
The Dolphins have the No. 14 pick in the first round.

Gurley tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in November in his first game after a four-game suspension for a violation of NCAA rules, and he entered the NFL draft months later, forgoing his final season of college eligibility.
The Dolphins might have to make some moves to draft Gurley, as the former Bulldog is projected by many to be a top-10 pick.
“He’s a talent. He’s definitely a player that his ability stands out and shines,” said Eric Stokes, the Dolphins’ assistant general manager. “He’s an exciting guy to watch. We’ve enjoyed working through that process with him and seeing him. From there, we’ll see where things shake out.”

In three seasons at Georgia, Gurley ran for 3,285 yards and 36 touchdowns. He also added 615 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He averaged 6.4 yards per carry.
The Dolphins were among the NFL’s best in average yards per rushing attempt last season and still have leading rusher Lamar Miller, who ran for 1,099 yards and eight touchdowns in 2014.
