Seattle Seahawks running back Robert Turbin underwent off-season hip surgery, reports Fox Sports.

Fox Sports reports that Turbin's timetable to return is unknown, however Bob Condotta of the Seattle Timesreports that Turbin is expected to be ready for training camp. Condotta adds that the surgery is not expected to affect his readiness for the 2015 season.

Turbin is a backup running back for the Seahawks behind Marshawn Lynch. He started three games last season and appeared in all 16, running for 310 yards on 74 carries.

The 25-year-old also caught two touchdown catches and had 186 receiving yards.
