• Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said his goal is to break Emmitt Smith's career rushing yards record. "I don't think it's impossible,'' Peterson told the Pioneer Press. "A lot of things are still to come. ... I look at things that anything is possible. He played 15 years. I'm going into year nine but I've only got eight on the body. That's a long-term goal (to break the record).''
• The Buffalo Bills announced that they have set a franchise record for season-ticket sales.
• Montreal Alouettes general manager Jim Popp said he was "very surprised" that Michael Sam left the team, according to the Montreal Gazzette. The team announced on Friday that Sam has left the team "for personal reasons."
