• Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryantconfirmed his plans of possibly skipping the team’s season opener if he does not receive a long-term contract extension.

• The New England Patriotsreceived their Super Bowl rings from owner Robert Kraft during a private party at his house on Sunday.

 • Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said his goal is to break Emmitt Smith's career rushing yards record. "I don't think it's impossible,'' Peterson told the Pioneer Press. "A lot of things are still to come. ...
