The NFL draft is over and free agency is winding down, but the NFL rumor mill is still abuzz. Many teams are finishing up minicamp this week and several big-name players skipped organized team activities while they negotiate new contracts. The workouts gave teams a chance to see their draft picks and new signings compete against established veterans. The free agents who have yet to sign contracts could end up with new homes soon as the start of training camp looms.

June 23

• New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's testimony at his appeal hearing on Tuesday is “under oath,” ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

• Patriots owner Robert Kraft was unable to testify at Brady's hearing by phone and sent a written statement of support instead, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network

• The Oakland Raiders did not send a representative to a town hall meeting in Carson, Calif., intended to update residents on the ongoing stadium talks with the city, CSN Bay Area reports

• Free-agent running back Ahmad Bradshaw will be suspended one game next season for violation of the league’s substance abuse program, reports NFL.com.

Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota said he have any contact with the Cleveland Browns before April's draft, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler

• An attorney for New Orleans Saints linebacker Junior Galettesaid that his client is not the person in the video showing a person swinging a belt at people during a beach party in 2013.

• New York Jets running back Stevan Ridley could open the season on physically unable to perform list, according to NJ.com. Ridley is recovering from ACL surgery.

• Washington Redskins quarterbacks Kirk Cousins and Colt McCoy will continue to alternate with the second unit through training camp, reports the Washington Post.

• BURKE: Strong draft, young core has Raiders on right path​
