New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie has a sprained knee, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Cromartie left Sunday's victory over the Cleveland Browns in the second quarter after sustaining an injury to his left knee. Cromartie was dropping into coverage when he planted his left leg and fell to the ground without being touched.

Though he was carted off the field, Cromartie avoided a serious knee tear as some had feared. The report did not state when Cromartie may be available to play again.

Cromartie played with the Jets from 2010–13, and returned this off-season after a year in Arizona. New York signed Cromartie to a four-year, $32 million contract in March.
