Cowboys rookie La’el Collins will start at left guard against the Giants in Week 7.

Dallas Cowboys rookie La’el Collins will start at left guard against the New York Giants in Week 7, reports ESPN’s Todd Archer.

Collins will replace Ronald Leary, who struggled in Sunday’s 30–6 loss to the New England Patriots, in the starting lineup against New York following his team’s bye during Week 6. 

Collins, 22, started against the Atlanta Falcons in a Week 3 loss when Leary was sidelined by a groin injury, but was inactive in both Week 4 and 5. He has played a total of 97 offensive snaps so far this season.

An undrafted free agent out of LSU, Collins was a first team All-SEC performer for the Tigers in 2014.
