Colts linebacker C was fined $17,363 for his hit on Ryan Mallett during Indianapolis’ 27–20 victory over the Texans in Week 5, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

Moore received a penalty for roughing the passer after his helmet hit Mallett’s chest during the second quarter. Mallett appeared slow to get up after the play and trainers tended to him.

The Texans replaced Mallett with Brian Hoyer, who played the rest of the game.

Before exiting the game, Mallet was 7 of 10 for 50 yards.

The Colts acquired Moore in September from the Oakland Raiders. Moore had 140 tackles and 7 1/2 sacks in 26 games in two seasons with Oakland.

The 25-year-old, who enters his third season in the NFL, has seen action in every game this season, recording five tackles so far.

Moore commented on the fine on Twitter on Friday.
