The turf at Levi’s Stadium has come under much scrutiny this season, and it appears to still be giving players issues.

Last season, the team replaced a 100-yard stretch of the field, which cost $1.4 million. The playing surface at Levi’s Stadium is especially important this season, as the stadium will be hosting Super Bowl 50 in February.

The 49ers re-sodded the grass again before this season, and planned to do so six times before the Super Bowl.

On Sunday, Baltimore Ravens kicker Justin Tucker experienced an issue with a soft spot in the field, almost creating a hole in the turf with his plant leg during a field goal. Tucker slipped and fell after the kick, and missed the field goal.
