The Carolina Panthers signed cornerback Cortland Finnegan, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Finnegan, a nine-year veteran, previously played for the Tennessee Titans, St. Louis Rams and Miami Dolphins. He compiled 18 interceptions throughout his career and was named to the 2008 Pro Bowl as a member of the Titans.

Finnegan announced his retirement in March 2015, but will suit up for his tenth season in the NFL as a member of the Panthers.

Carolina has been without cornerback Charles Tillman for the last two weeks with a knee injury, and he is expected to miss “a few more weeks,” according to the Charlotte Observer. Carolina is currently the only undefeated team in the NFL, and boasts the sixth-ranked pass defense.
