Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid will fully handle play calling next season, according to official team reporter BJ Kissel.

Reid has traditionally called his own plays, but admitted to occasionally handing over play calling duties to offensive coordinator Doug Pederson during slumps this season.

Pederson was hired by the Philadelphia Eagles as head coach on Jan. 18.

According to Jeff McLane of ThePhiladelphia Inquirer, Pederson called plays for much of the second half of the season.

The Chiefs were eliminated from the divisional round of the playoffs by the New England Patriots last week. Kansas City was criticized for its handling of late–game offensive strategy in the 27–20 loss.
