Meet the three Super Bowl players who haven't played a snap this season
Of the combined 106 players currently on the Broncos and Panthers active rosters, only three have not seen the field this entire season.
It's unlikely that these players will finally see the field in the Super Bowl, so at least one of them will win a ring without having stepped on the field. Let's meet the non–injured Broncos and Panthers who haven't played a down this season.
Robert Myers Jr. (Broncos)
The rookie offensive lineman from Tennessee State last saw game action—a start, actually—in the last preseason game of 2015. At that point, he was playing for the Baltimore Ravens, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2015 draft.
The Ravens waived him in final cuts in September, then the Colts picked him up. The Colts cut him after a couple days, and he landed back on the Ravens practice squad. The Broncos signed him to their active roster on Dec. 31.
Taurean Nixon (Broncos)
Also a rookie, Nixon was selected by the Broncos in the seventh round of the 2015 draft out of Tulane. The cornerback appeared in all four preseason games, finishing with 10 tackles and one pass defended.
In college, Nixon spent two years at Memphis before transferring to Tulane. He also ran track for Tulane, competing in the 100 meter dash and the 4x100 meter relay.
Lou Young (Panthers)
Carolina's second-year defensive back only saw action in one preseason game, a 23-6 win over Pittsburgh. He made one assisted tackle.
He spent all of 2014 and 2015 on the Panthers' practice squad and was finally called up on Jan. 5 to replaced Charles Tillman, who went on injured reserve after tearing his ACL in week 17.

Honorable Mentions
Trevor Siemian (Broncos)
Denver's third-string quarterback only took one snap this whole year, and it was a kneel against the Steelers to close out the first half. Denver drafted Siemian in the seventh round of the 2015 draft.
Brandon Wegher (Panthers)
Wegher, an undrafted rookie running back out of Morningside College, scored three touchdowns in the preseason, earning himself a spot on the Carolina's roster. He saw action in one game, against the Buccaneers, where he played on two offensive snaps and 14 special teams snaps.
