The Ravens have reached an agreement with safety Eric Weddle on a four-year, $26 million deal with $13 million guaranteed, according to multiple reports.

The free-agent safety confirmed the news on Twitter.

Weddle, 31, was a second-round pick of the Chargers in 2007 and spent his first nine seasons in San Diego. Last season, he recorded 55 total tackles and recovered a fumble in 13 games.

Baltimore has been searching for consistency at safety since the departure of veteran Ed Reed in 2012.
