Falcons Sign DE Bud Dupree to One-Year Deal

The Falcons are signing pass rusher Bud Dupree to a one-year deal that will be worth up to $5 million, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports. The veteran has battled injuries throughout his career but will get a fresh start in Atlanta.

Dupree is entering his ninth season in the league, having spent the first six years with the Steelers and last two with the Titans. He had a career-high 11.5 sacks with Pittsburgh in 2019 and 39.5 total sacks in 81 games with the franchise, but totaled just seven sacks combined in 22 games with Tennessee since 2021.

Atlanta adds Dupree to a front seven that includes Grady Jarrett, Calais Campbell and Lorenzo Carter. Last season, Jarrett and Carter produced 10 total sacks, while the rest of the team combined for just 11 sacks on the year.

The Falcons’ pass rushing depth chart now features Dupree, Carter, Arnold Ebiketie, Kaden Ellis and Adetokunbo Ogundeji.
