Giants OL Justin Pugh Had NFL Fans Laughing With His Comical Couch Comment in SNF Intro
Of all the primetime player introductions this season, the Giants may have asserted themselves in the conversation for “Intro of the Year” thanks to offensive lineman Justin Pugh.
A free-agent signing back on Oct. 3, Pugh, an 11-year veteran, made his first start of the 2023 campaign a memorable one as the Giants took the field against the Bills on Sunday Night Football. Rather than give the usual shoutout to a team of his past, Pugh opted to deliver a doozy of a one-liner when it was the left guard’s time to shine.
“Justin Pugh, straight off the couch,” declared Pugh in a not-so-subtle nod to his recent unemployment.
The No. 19 pick out of Syracuse in 2013, Pugh’s background certainly speaks louder than his couch comment would suggest. Still, the 33-year-old’s remark provided SNF viewers with an unexpectedly hilarious intro that served as a fitting segue to usher in his second stint with the Giants.
