Matt Ryan, Former QB, Met Two Matt Ryans From the NBA and Social Media Loved It
For years, former Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had the privilege of being the premier Matt Ryan in sports thanks to his prominence in the NFL. However, lately, two other Matt Ryans have emerged in the NBA, one a player and one a PR spokesperson for the Pelicans, making life a little more confusing for sports fans.
New Orleans forward Matt Ryan has established himself has a quality role player in the NBA, but still must deal with the fact that he shares a name with a long-time starting quarterback.
On Friday, with CBS football analyst Matt Ryan in town to call Bears-Saints, all three Matt Ryans met up in New Orleans. The result was a mind-bending video featuring three men but just one name between them.
Once the Pelicans posted the picture and video on social media, fans were blown away by all the Matt Ryans being in the same place, and had some jokes to go along with it, including many with the same Spider-Man meme.
Amazingly, there is a fourth Matt Ryan in the sports industry, who writes for the Philadelphia Inquirer. While he wasn’t in New Orleans, he did comment on the meeting to keep the multiverse alive.
