Saquon Barkley Shares How His Daughter Accidentally Trolled Giants With Savage One-Liner

The NFL world shared a wide gamut of reactions after Saquon Barkley signed with the Philadelphia Eagles earlier in March. Some went off on Barkley for joining an NFC East rival, others praised his prudent choice to secure a financially lucrative deal, but no single reaction was perhaps quite as memorable as that of Barkley’s daughter.

The running back recently revealed a hilarious anecdote in which his 6-year-old daughter, Jada inadvertently—and savagely—roasted his former team, the New York Giants.

After telling Jada he was joining the Eagles this year, she responded, “Does that mean we’re going to win now?”

Giants fans had to feel those painfully blunt words cut deep into their hearts.

In Barkley’s six-year tenure in New York, the two-time Pro Bowler enjoyed just one winning season, when the Giants went 9-7-1 in 2022. That year marked Barkley’s only playoff trip, with the Giants beating the Minnesota Vikings but then falling to none other than the Eagles in a crushing 38–7 divisional round loss.

Saquon Barkley will face his former team the New York Giants twice a year as a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Having defected to a more recently successful division rival, the ex-Giants back could soon get used to the taste of victory in Philly, as the Eagles boast five winning seasons in the last six years and booked a trip to the Super Bowl in the 2022–23 postseason.

The Giants and Eagles may own the same all-time playoff record at 25–26. But, as Barkley’s six-year-old daughter correctly indicated, the Eagles do indeed have the upper hand when it comes to recent history.
