The Boston Bruins were without forward Jarome Iginla on Wednesday night in Detroit after he suffered a "lower-body injury" according to the team. Jordan Caron took his slot in the lineup.

Iginla recorded 17 points in March (13 goals, four assists) en route to winning the NHL's First Star of the Month and helping the Bruins clinch the Atlantic Division.

How long Iginla will be out and how he sustained the injury were not immediately known.
