NHL salary cap set at $69 million

Gary Bettman's league has been thriving over the last few years.

The NHL salary cap has been set at $69 million for the 2014-15 season, the league announced on Friday.

That number is up from $64.3 million this past season. The salary floor will be $51 million, which 14 teams are currently below, according to CapGeek.com.
