Patrick Kane summer league MVP

A year after he earned the Conn Smythe Trophy for his superlative efforts during the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup run, Patrick Kane has added another accolade to his resume: MVP of the Fattey Hockey League championship.

Kane's Milli Vanilli squad knocked off the heavily favored Pet Shop Boys Tuesday night to capture the Father Charles Cup, asserting their supremacy in a league that brings together the top players in the Buffalo area for some non-contact summer shinny.

Not that Kaner did it all by himself. His team's roster was loaded with NHL talent, including the Sabres' Zemgus Girgensons and the Islanders' Cory Conacher, as well as several current and former college and junior players.
