Florida Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov has been suspended four games for his low hit on Dallas Stars center Tyler Seguin, the NHL announced Monday

Seguin injured his knee on the play and will miss three to six weeks, the team announced Saturday

Blue Jackets' Sergei Bobrovsky could return by end of month

"It’s a play that I don’t like," Stars head coach Lindy Ruff said Saturday, according to the Dallas Morning News. "It’s a dirty low play that the league doesn’t like, and I want to see the league deal with it. They took out one of the best players in the league, and it’s something that has to be dealt with and I’ll let them deal with it."

Kulikov was given a five-minute major penalty for clipping and assessed a game misconduct. He sat out Sunday's game against the Blues while waiting to learn the severity of his punishment. He will be allowed to rejoin the team for this coming Sunday's game against the Penguins

Kulikov averages the fourth-most ice time among Panthers skaters and has 16 points in 49 games.
