Tampa Bay Lightning center Tyler Johnson scored a hat trick in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals against the New York Rangers on Monday.

Johnson's first goal came shorthanded on a 5-on-3 in the first period. He scored on a power play later in the period to become the first player in Lightning history to score a power play goal and shorthanded goal in the same playoff period. The third goal made him the first player in franchise history to score a playoff hat trick.

The first goal was subject to a video review after it was initially waved off by the referee. Upon further review, it was ruled that Rangers winger Martin St. Louis knocked the net loose just after the puck crossed the goal line.
