Jaromir Jagr relents, says he’ll head to Nashville for All-Star Game
There used to be the show “Kids Say The Darndest Things.” It hasn’t been trademarked and there isn’t a script yet or anything, but it might be the best form of marketing the NHL could ever put together if it could get a “Jaromir Jagr Says The Darndest Things” sort of show working.
The Czech legend, who was long perceived as a moody superstar with an unfriendly disposition, has become a beloved demagogue as he’s miraculously continued to star in the NHL into his mid 40s.
The reason Jagr has become such a darling of NHL fans has been the candid honesty in which he shares whatever’s on his mind. His thoughts on being voted the Atlantic Division’s captain for the 2016 NHL All-Star Game have been a perfect example.

Between his tweets and proclamation that he’d rather spend the All-Star break in the Bahamas than in Nashville, Jagr hasn’t really made it a secret that he’s none too thrilled to be an NHL All-Star this season.
Jagr continued his digs at the NHL All-Star Game, sometimes subtle and sometimes not subtle at all, before Saturday’s Panthers game against the Tampa Bay Lightning.

After Jagr’s latest soliloquy took social media by storm and raised the question of whether he’d risk a mandatory one-game suspension for blowing off the All-Star Game, he seemed to put the questions of his attendance to rest after the Panthers’ 5–2 win against the Lightning.
So there it is. Barring a change of heart, Jagr will be in Nashville.
