This junior hockey team ready for summer with their beach-themed uniforms.

“Life’s a beach.”

That famous saying normally implies that one’s life is going pretty well.

For the Muskegon Lumberjacks, members of the United States Hockey League, it’s about to take on a whole new meaning.

Sometimes words cannot adequately describe something. When the Lumberjacks take to the ice sporting these “festive” uniforms against the Sioux City Musketeers on March 12, it will be one of those times.

We’re not sure if it’s the tank top, the knee-high socks or the flowery bathing suits that bring it all together. But we may not have seen a hockey fashion show like this one since the movie Slap Shot was released 39 years ago.

Let’s just hope the fashion show ends better for the Lumberjacks than it did for the Charlestown Chiefs.
