Frank Williams to quit board of Williams Formula One team

LONDON (AP) -- Williams team co-founder Frank Williams will quit the board of the Formula One team at the end of the month.

Williams says he will remain as team principal and keep his majority shareholding. He says he decided to start the "gradual but inevitable process of handing over the reins to the next generation."

Williams will turn 70 in April.

His daughter, Claire, will join the board on April 1 as director of marketing and communications.
