Polamalu Broke Rule by Punching Ball Through Endzone

Pittsburgh Steelers safety broke an NFL rule by punching New England Patriots' quarterback Tom Brady's fumble out of the endzone for a safety. The rule is, in essence, the converse of the rule that makes it illegal to fumble the ball forward. The call is not reviewable.

When asked after the game, Polamalu said, "Whatever is going to get me in trouble, I'm saying the opposite."

The reigning defensive player of the year, Polamalu had five tackles on a Steelers defense that held Brady and the Patriots to only 170 yards passing and 213 for the game in a 25-17 victory.
