The Southeastern Conference has just released a statement announcing the suspension of University of Arkansas Marquel Wade from the Razorbacks’ next game, according to the official SEC website.

The freshman receiver was ejected from Saturday’s game between Arkansas and Vanderbilt University after crashing into Vanderbilt’s punt returner Jonathan Krause with his helmet in the third quarter.  After reviewing game tapes, conference commissioner Mike Slive found Wade in violation of NCAA football rules. His suspension is in accordance with the conference constitution stating that a “student-athlete may be suspended if it is determined that the student-athlete has committed a flagrant or unsportsmanlike act.”
