After it was reported earlier Tuesday that several schools were granted invitations to the Big East, Brett McMurphy of CBS Sports is now reporting that Boise State, UCF, SMU, and Houston could all join the conference by Friday. Boise would join as a football-only member, where the other three would participate in all sports.

Citing "football industry sources," the report says that the schools would prefer to enter the conference together, and the earliest that can take place would be Friday. Boise State has a board meeting Thursday on the subject.

In addition, Air Force and Navy are also expected to join at some point. The teams will start play in the Big East either next year or in 2013.
