Injury Sidelines Welterweight Rory MacDonald For UFC 140

UFC welterweight Rory MacDonald has pulled out of his scheduled fight against Brian Ebersole at UFC 140 due to an undisclosed injury, ESPN.com reports.

MacDonald is three for four in his UFC bouts and is considered widely to be one of the UFC’s most promising welterweights. In total the 22-year-old is 12-1 in 13 fights, with five wins coming by way of knockout, six by way of submission, and one by decision.

This year, MacDonald impressed MMA fans with a unanimous decision win against UFC favorite Nate Diaz and a first round TKO against Mike Pyle at UFC 133 this August.
