The NBA and the NBPA have made "significant progress" in their discussions Wednesday night, Yahoo! Sports reporter Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted. Wojnarowski's report is based off information obtained from sources who were briefed on the talks.

Though the news seemed encouraging, Wojnarowski later tweeted that "no deal was considered imminent." In addition, the sides are expected to remain in meetings until late into the night. NBA commissioner had issued a 5 p.m. deadline, but the players didn't agree to the terms but asked to meet. According to Wojnarowski, the sides have been meeting for almost eight hours.
