Judge Who Set Bail For Jerry Sandusky Had Ties To His Charity

Former Penn State defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky was released on $100,000 bail by a judge who had ties to Sandusky’s ‘Second Mile’ charity, CNN reports. The charity, designed to help young children with a troubled past, was believed to be used by Sandusky as a source to find his victims.

Judge Leslie Dutchcot freed Sandusky, who has been charged with 40 counts of abusing children, “against the wishes of prosecutors,” CNN claims.

As a condition of the release, Sandusky was told he is not allowed near children.

In the midst of the controversy surrounding the Sandusky child sex scandal, longtime Penn State head coach Joe Paterno has been fired as has university president Graham Spanier.
