LaDanian Tomlinson Out For Thursday's Game Against The Broncos

New York Jets running back LaDanian Tomlinson will not play Thursday against the Denver Broncos after spraining his MCL in Sunday night’s loss to the New England Patriots, according to the New York Daily News.

“It’s the same knee (that was injured in 2007),” Tomlinson told the Daily News. “It’s not as serious as the one in the playoff game. The one in the playoff game was pretty significant. This one is not as bad. If the game was Sunday, for sure I know I’d be able to play. Since it’s on Thursday, I can’t say that I’m going to be able to make it.”

The 32-year-old running back had 38 yards on seven carries in the Jets’ 16-37 loss. So far this season, the one time dominant running back has collected a total of 167 yards rushing and one touchdown on the ground. Last year for the Jets, Tomlinson ran for 914 yards on 219 carries.
