Rangers Marc Staal Cleared to Work Out Lightly After Post-Concussion Symptoms
New York Rangers defenseman Marc Staal has been cleared for light physical activity after suffering post concussion symptoms stemming from a concussion in February, ESPN New York reports.
After meeting with specialists, Stall was allowed to resume physical activity, such as light workouts on the stationary bike.
In a February matchup between the Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes, Eric Staal, Marc’s older brother and NHL veteran, laid a crushing hit on Marc that resulted in the concussion and persisting concussion-like symptoms.
Despite the positive development, the 24-year-old defenseman is reportedly still far from being ready to compete on ice.
