The New York Giants have placed wide receiver Michael Clayton on injured reserve, according to Pro Football Talk. Clayton tore his meniscus at practice this week.

Clayton has not been a major contributor for the Giants, but with Mario Manningham's status in question, he was perhaps set to see more game action Monday night at New Orleans. The veteran receiver has appeared in five games for New York and he has not recorded any statistics. He had two catches for 19 yards a season ago with the team.
