Report: Ndamukong Suh To Be Suspended Two Games

Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh has reportedly been suspended by the league for two games without pay, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

Suh has drawn criticism this week after video revealed that he shoved and stomped on Packers lineman Evan Dietrich-Smith in a 27-15 loss to Green Bay on Thursday. Suh initially denied that the act occurred, but later apologized via Facebook.

“My reaction on Thursday was unacceptable,” Suh said in a statement on his Facebook page. “I made a mistake, and have learned from it. I hope to direct the focus back to the task at hand — by winning."

The 24-year-old has been fined several times by the league for his aggressive play this season, and even requested a face-to-face meeting with commissioner Rodger Goodell to discuss NFL rules. At the time Suh said he requested the meeting to discuss his perception as a “dirty player.”

Following the conversation with Goodell, Suh said he would not change his aggressive style of play.

Suh has three sacks this season for the Lions, who are currently 7-4 and are vying for an NFC Wild Card spot.
