Denver Broncos' quarterback Tim Tebow will be on the cover of the inaugural issue of NFL Magazine, according to the Associated Press. Carolina Panthers' quarterback Cam Newton was originally planned to grace the cover, but the editorial staff saw Tebow as being more "current."

"Tim Tebow is current. He's a talking piece," editor-in-chief Mike Dunphy said to the AP. "You love him or you hate him. What better relevant topic than Tim Tebow?" The magazine will hit newsstands Dec. 13.
