Man Pleads Guilty of Slapping Chicago Bears' WR Devin Hester

A Chicago-area man has pleaded guilty to slapping Chicago Bears' wide receiver Devin Hester while at an Illinois casino, according to the Associated Press. The assault took place in mid-October.

Daniel Rago of Mount Prospect (Ill.) was arrested after slapping Hester, who was standing in line, in the back of the head, police say. Hester did not retaliate.

Rago's lawyer insists the event was a misunderstanding, saying his client believed that Hester had cut in line in front of an elderly couple. Cook County assistant state's attorney Kimberly Przekota called the attack "both insulting and unprovoked," according to the AP.
