Report: Texas Coach Mack Brown Sends Letter Denying Retirement Rumors

Texas head football coach Mack Brown has sent a letter to the families of his players denying rumors of his imminent retirement, according to a report tweeted by Chip Brown of Orangebloods.com.

"OB has learned Mack Brown sent a letter to families of Texas players saying any reports of him planning to retire are 'absolutely false!'" Brown wrote.

Mack Brown  is an integral part of the Texas program. He has been the head coach since 1998, and the team's official website includes his name in the URL (mackbrown-texasfootball.com).  But Brown is 60 years old, and reports surfaced this week that Brown could retire following Texas' game on Saturday.  Chip Brown disputed that rumor as well.
